The PG58 is an entry-level dynamic vocal mic, styled much like the SM58.
Like most stage dynamic microphones, the PG58 has a high max SPL rating. The mic produces a Cardioid pickup pattern.
The rare-earth Neodymium magnet in the moving-coil cartridge gives the mic higher output levels (sensitivity 2.2 mV/Pa) than many comparable mics, including the SM58 (1.85 mV/Pa).
The moving-coil cartridge is shockmounted to reduce handling noise.
The mic has an on/off switch.
Tailored frequency response is smooth and extended. Tuned specifically for vocal applications
Cardioid polar pattern picks up the most sound from in front of the microphone and some sound from the sides. Less susceptible to feedback in high volume settings.
Dynamic cartridge has a simple, rugged coil. Handles extreme volume levels without distortion
Integral "pop" filter reduces explosive breath sounds and wind noise.
On/off switch for onstage control
